My dad and I were very alike in temperament and we would clash often, but it would never last long as we both loved each other very much. He was the kind of man that would do anyone a good turn and he was incredibly loyal to those he loved and cared about. Dad was a man of his time and they are not made like him anymore.

The Sunday night before he died I put a video on for him as usual (he never learnt to use the video) I kissed him goodnight and left the house for the nightshift. When I came home the next morning he was gone. Thankfully he died in his sleep from a massive heart attack, he was 70 years old. Not a day goes by that I do not think of him and my mother misses him terribly. We all love you dad, look after Bethy and Lucky Dip for me.
God bless

If we could have one lifetime wish, and one dream that could come true, we would pray to God with all our hearts just to see and speak to you. A thousand words won't bring you back we know because we've tried and neither will a million tears, we know because we've cried. You've left behind our broken hearts and precious memories too but we never wanted memories, we only wanted you xxx

Remembrance

Remembrance is a golden chain
Death tries to break,
but all in vain.
To have, to love, and then to part
Is the greatest sorrow of one's heart.
The years may wipe out many things
But some they wipe out never.
Like memories of those happy times
When we were all together.

A rose once grew
where all could see,
sheltered beside
a garden wall,
And as the days passed
swiftly by,
it spread its branches, straight and tall...

One day, a beam of light
shone through
a crevice that had
opened wide ~
The rose bent gently
toward its warmth
then passed beyond
to the other side

Now, you who deeply
feel its loss,
be comforted ~ the rose blooms there ~
its beauty even greater now,
nurtured by
God's own loving care.
